    4870x2 problems.

Just got one of these bad boys from ebuyer, due to an RMA.

My motherboard is currently Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3, which uses the 4pin adapter to run the cpu.

My psu is corsair hx620, which although modular, has by default, a 4 pin, a 8pin, and a 24pin coming out of it.

    Now the 4870x2 requires a 6pin pci-e adaptor (which i have) and an 8-pin.
    i do also have a 6+2pin adapter,
but my question was can i use the 8pin that is meant for the cpu to power the gfx?

    Thanks in advance

    No, and it doesn't fit.
Your PSU should have an 8 pin (6+2) and a 6 pin connector. Isn't that all that's needed?

Sorry, assumed you had a newer HX620. Get plugging in the card then (with the proper connectors )
