    Re: i7 Watercooling

    Received the parcel today.
That would be part 1 of my Ordering spree.

Here is the next order, just the waterblocks:

    1x EK-FB RE2 - Acetal EK-FB RE2 - Acetal
    - Fittings 8/10 Screw In
    1x EK-Mosfet ASUS X58 KIT - Acetal EK-Mosfet ASUS X58 KIT - Acetal
    - Fittings 8/10 Screw In
    2x EK-FC88 GT/GTS (G92) Acetal EK-FC88 GT/GTS (G92) Acetal
    - Fittings 8/10 Screw In

I've decided that I will keep my 2x 8800 GT, as I don't play that much, and both of them can play the games I play.
Might upgrade at a later date though.

I have to say, a custom watercolling kit costs a lot of money

A good water cooling set up does but it's worth it in the long run. I've used various kits in my days and the cheaper, often lower performing bits really make you suffer with build up and all sorts of annoying stuff. Don't have to worry about that with a good set up like you're purchased though. Enjoy putting it all together!

    Re: i7 Watercooling

If I sum it up at the end of the day, including the new case, I'm near to 1000 GBP

    Re: i7 Watercooling

Yeh, Im same as you. Building up a water cooling kit atm, bit and bobs cost little, but once you start adding them, it costs big. And I still need to get a new case (£160), radiator (£30) and tubing and fuilds etc (£god-knows)

    Re: i7 Watercooling

    Ok, back to this
I skipped the keep-my-old-SLI-GT8800-setup and are now going the GTX 295 way.
Already asked about single or twin PCB, but got no answer so far.
So was lookign around, and it looks there is ony a single WC GTX 295 available at the moment, the BFG, which is a twin PCB.
    Price is about £570.
    Now I saw this:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductID=1048132

I can get a single PCB GTX 295 for arround £320-350
So I would save more then £100.

Looks good for me, is covering Memory and GPU.
Whats left is a 2nd pump, reservoir and Radiator.

    And all the tubing/fittings.
I would like to use these compression fittings, but not sure if I have to take care what kind of fitting is provided with the several stuff I'm about to order, or what I already have ordered.
There are so many different sizes: 3/8 ID, 1/2 ID, ....
