80 GB IBM Deskstar 7K250 7200rpm 2Mb cache IDE ATA100 £42.24
80 GB Maxtor 7200rpm IDE ATA133 (6Y080L0) £44.59
80 GB Seagate 7200rpm 2MB cache IDE ATA100 £44.59
Or look under "Hard Drives - IDE" here:

Also Overclockers have a few. They havea Samsung Spinpoint 80Gig for £45.77
thank you guys, great help, im going for the wester national 80gb 8mb
sorry guys, any more suggestions, i got £55 now. thx
id go with http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=43151 personaly. Really good, fast drives.
Western Digital Caviar 80GB Special Edition 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-000-WD)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...gital_ide.html
Price: £42.50 (£49.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)
With p&p it'll come to ~ £55, good reliable hdd.
Another vote for the Maxtor Agent posted. Great drives
Wouldnt touch a maxtor personally, they just arent reliable at all. So many die... the only good thing about maxtor is there rma service. Although personally I think it'd be better if there drives didnt fail so much in the first place ;)Quote:

any good?, £53 inc vat and p&p
Thats the same one as I posted for ~£3 more ;)
Edit : Didn't see that included P&p! Same drive, up to you where you buy it from. I bought a new drive from ocuk and it came next day (I've had very good service from them lately)!
Save a few quid? Same architecture as IBM and Hitachi. Heard they're just as reliable but have no experience.

Have to agree with Agent, personally. I've never *touch wood* had a maxtor hdd fail on me yet. Usually quite quiet, nice and zippy, lovely drives, imo. Shame you missed out on the 120GB for 51inc VAT at Tekheds last week :(
I disagree. They are the best drives ive ever used.Quote:
