Wouldnt touch a maxtor personally, they just arent reliable at all. So many die... the only good thing about maxtor is there rma service. Although personally I think it'd be better if there drives didnt fail so much in the first placeOriginally Posted by Agent
thx again, i found this one in microdirect.co.uk, similar to ethos's
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/product...ProductID=2902
any good?, £53 inc vat and p&p
Thats the same one as I posted for ~£3 more
Edit : Didn't see that included P&p! Same drive, up to you where you buy it from. I bought a new drive from ocuk and it came next day (I've had very good service from them lately)!

Save a few quid? Same architecture as IBM and Hitachi. Heard they're just as reliable but have no experience.

Have to agree with Agent, personally. I've never *touch wood* had a maxtor hdd fail on me yet. Usually quite quiet, nice and zippy, lovely drives, imo. Shame you missed out on the 120GB for 51inc VAT at Tekheds last week
