I was always amazed when I saw these ultra slim PCs at PC World. The original intention of the mini-ITX form factor was to couple embedded low-power processors with casings as small as possible.
Well, I think that is what every PC case should have: a fan in the front, using the whole width to take air in and blow out in the back. And whot ? It has a dust filter ? That is so cool.Silverstone relies on a 120mm intake fan in the front to create airflow in the casing.
Yay baby !The inclusion of a 2.5" bay goes hand in hand with the decreasing cost and increasing popularity of solid state drives.
WOW !For those who don't like having the Silverstone logo on the front of their casing, Silverstone has gone to the trouble of including a blank replacement panel.
I wished the USB and audio sockets were hidden behind a lid.
The main noisemaker in our setup was none other than the ATI Radeon HD4870 graphics card.Good.We must note that the 120mm intake fan as well as the 80mm power supply fan were both very quiet.
The 300W power supply hits the sweet spot ...Just wished Silverstone had made it 100% of aluminium. The mini-ITX arena has seen renewed interest of late, and as more manufacturers jump into this arena we should see prices fall.
I have posted the first official picture I could find of the HD4770:

It seems to have a core which runs at 750mhz and also a dual slot cooler which looks like a shorter version of the one on the HD3870.
I have just noticed this ultra-short version of the HD4830:

It seems to be between 7.5" and 8" long!!
