I've discovered now that it wasn't actually my mouse at fault. It's a little bit more serious, I think it's the graphics card. I've heard that Gainward aren't great at RMAs

World's best gaming mouse is the Razor Boomslang 2100. Not optical though, so you will have to clean it now and again, to keep it at its best, if you're a mucky sod.

M$ are excellent with their RMA procedures tbh, any M$ hardware that his died on my has usually been replaced within a week, its the one thing they are good at

Re: Microsoft Intellimouse Optical is dying. What new mouse?

For general use cant get better than the Logitech MX Revolution, had mine over 3 years and huge noticeable difference when I use and other mouse, very comfortable, lasts forever between charges and it just sits in its cradle when I'm away from computer...

Gaming wise, have a look at the Saitek Cyborg Mouse take a little getting use to, but I'd be lost without it now in games. Huge amount of customisation available...

Depends entirely on the user . Everyone has difference preferences when it comes to shape, size, weight, sensitivity, etc.
