    Intel CPU Serial number

    Hi All,

I got a new CPU today, an OEM Q6700. I have read that all Q6700's are 'G' stepping, however I noticed that there was a 'serial number' in the invoice, but as the CPU is in a box with not much else, no seals ect, I wanted to check if it matched up...

    Question is how?

the only markings are as follows:

    INTEL '05 Q6700
    INTEL CORE 2 QUAD
    SLACQ MALAY
    2.66GHZ/8M/1066/05A
    L817B038 04

Any idea how to tell serial number? also any intel buff know if thats a good batch or not? I suppose I'll soon know!
