Corsair TX750w
Or if you insist that you need more power then the HX1000w, But 1500w is just dire overkill...
One of the be quiet dark power range, excellent PSUs 850W/1000W maybe?

Have a look at the Enermax Revolution 85+, they are meant to be really good and they get a better score than the Corsair HX1000W on JohnnyGuru. He managed to get 88% efficiency. =0

I'll take a look at the Be Quiet! PSU's then.
First of all, what resolution are you playing/working with?
maybe a 3-way SLI might be an overkill itself. but for that setup i'd say 1000W minimum. Corsair TX750W is solid PSU, i had one, but dont think it will handle 3 GTX285. 1000W would give you some comfort zone. Work out your 12V rail amps for all components you use, you can estimate it from their spec. 12V rail amps are more important than watt rating of PSU. Hope that helps.
