Question What is the Best Heat Sink Fan

I'm having some heat issues with 3200 xp AMD. I want to put the best heat sink fan on the chip. What is the best? If you are having luck with water cooling please let me know what kit you are using or what is a good water cooling kit.

    Thanks

Hello m8, thorny question as everyone has their fave heatsink I personally prefer a Thermalright SLK900 + 80mm Sunon fan for such a task, but I now use watercooling beacuse of it's thermal stability. That is, temp rises are a lot less than with air. Basically, u get what u pay for.

With watercooling, most people seem to start off with buying a kit & then upgrade blocks, pumps, rads as & when.

Good luck anyways, let us know ho u get on.

I used to have a slk900 with a thermaltake 92mm fan on it and that was quality, only sold it cause I moved to DD RBX block with Eheim 1250 & BIX etc.

There are newer ones out now mind, SP94 etc heard they are just as good if not better, although there are some compatibility problems with motherboard (best to check).

you'll be hard pushed to fit a really decent sized heatsink on the lanparty or infinity because of badly placed caps @ the bottom of the socket,as said best check compatibility b4 buying, personally ive got the big swiftech 92mm job on my air-cooled pc but have used thermalright as well and have no real 'favourite',i have read the sp94 heatpipe jobby is the new daddeh tho

I have checked and the SLK 900A is compatiable with the board. I would like to know more about the Swiftech 92mm, is this a fan or heatsink? Do you have a link Schrickvr6?
