5.1 speakers suggestions please.

Looking for some 5.1 speakers for my PC, PS3, 360 and would ideally like some with a wireless remote?
Any suggestions where i can get a cheap but decent set from? Budget up to around 80 smackers.

Have you considered these or alternatively these. My mate had some logitech ones a while back, which were okay, nothing to shout home about but they did the job.

Thanks Pete, yes i was looking at the x540's today..they look good to me except for the wired remote.

I have the 540's. They have good bass, not quite loud enough during DVD's in my oppinion (on full) and looses the top ranges of sounds.

Appart from that OK.

have you got your sub encased in polystyrene or something?
the bass is far too loud imo. minimum to medium is about as much as i dare.

Looking at the rear speaker lengths of the x-540's (4.1m) i'll have to buy some extensions i think!
Probably go for some of these though.

No, I have bass between about 1/3 and 2/3 depending on the type of music, film, ect. When watching films I have it set to maxiumn volume in a resonably small room, 4*4meters(ish), but the calibration requires all the speackers but rear right to be turned down, as rear right is above me in the only place it fits. They are on about 80% volume though, and I think it is not very loud.

You sure about that? I didn't think Maplins sold ANYTHING for less than about £20...

You can, with the adapter they come with. You won't be getting 5.1 though

I'd suggest a Home Theatre Kit personally, along with something like the Joytech 540C if you choose one with only a single optical in.

Something like the Samsung HTZ310 perhaps?
