Loving this idea, as have fancied an Xbox controller for a while anyway. Will do some googling now, but assuming I can setup one of the little joysticks for cursor control, think we may have a winner. :D
Thanks again all.

It's a great set in general, well worth getting hold of.

Re: Remote control for PC
I have got a great remote for VISTA, all I did was search eBay using "Vista pc remote" a while back and found this media remote specifically for Vista that controls everything, not just media applications - EVERYTHING! Laying in bed half asleep at night having watched 5 episodes of Scrubs, cant get outta bed cos thatll wake me up agen...its ok, I have my remote, just hover over to the shut down button, get in..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Re: Remote control for PC
I just got the Speedlink media remote through the post yesterday from Scan. Wasn't expecting much other than Media Center control but as it turns out it's pretty good! Only a tenner and it'll control WMC and can swap to the cursor at the press of a button. For iPlayer control i'd recommend the TunerFree WMC plug-in, it brings iPlayer, 4OD etc. in to the MCE interface ;)
Can you really go wrong for the price? I'm currently using it as a mouse to navigate through this site from the TV. No way to input text with it (that i can work out anyway, unless i used the on-scren keyboard).
Re: Remote control for PC
I use one of these myself and its brilliant!

not much bigger than a remote plus alot of features, uses a laptop like pointer pad which can be switched to a directional button to use with MC.
can be purchased around £75.00 a little expensive but well worth it if you use MC.
