Software for my Kworld TV dongle?

I recently got hold of a Kworld VS-DVBT 355U-G usb dongle tv card to use. Iv managed to connect it to the house's TV aeriel and it works a charm with the Hypermedia software it came with. This was until i shut my PC down and turned it on the next day.

For some reason everytime i restart my PC, or the software it forgets all the channels it scanned for, and 'saved'. Before it lets me view any channels it forces me to scan through them all again.

Iv tried Vista (64bit) Media centre which scans but doesnt find any channels and the open source Media Portal, which just freezes & refuse to find any channels/my region.


Can anyone recommend me any (free) software thats good for TV playback on a PC? Iv got 100s of films, pictures and music on the PC aswell so if it can do more then just TV playback i wouldnt complain!

i've been using dvbviewer for a while now and am pretty happy with it. should do everything yoiu want and more. not free mind, but not expensive either at 15 euros

Tried the trial version of it and again, couldnt figure out how to link it to my device & scan for channels. Also tried prog DVB and it picked up internet channels but again couldnt find my device.

I thougth these sorts of things were fairly well idiot proof?
