Okay so I took the plunge and decided to try out Vista Ultimate. Going well so far apart from a few things.
Along with the upgrade to Vista I procured 2x2GB of Corsair DOMINATOR PC2-8500 RAM. Before I was running XP with 2x1GB with the RAM correctly set to 1066 in the bios. However, if I try change the DRAM frequency of the 2x2GB sticks now, Vista will refuse to boot. It gets right up to the boot screen and the PC restarts itself. Any suggestions?
On the subject of Temperatures, I have been using Real Temp and Core Temp to guage the CPU's temperature. At idle the four cores are roughly between 37-42. The funny thing is under load they go up literally about 5 degrees and that is it. Could this just be a fault with the sensor that so many Quad Core CPU's appear to have?
Ta for the help guys!
