    Best 2.1 speakers

    I'm looking for a good 2.1 speaker detup for my desktop computer, that I would mainly use for gaming and listening to music with. So far I've seen these...

    Razer Mako 2.1 OmniDirectional THX
    Bose Companion 5

    Does anyone own either of these an could recommend them? Are there any better performers or that offer better value?

    the acoustic energy m 2.1 speakers are the ones i'm looking at buying right now... 120 quid on ebuyer and apparently they are some of the best 2.1's you can buy at this price...

    with ~£5/m speaker cable and the onboard sound from my gigabyte UD5 mobo. I'm looking to spent up to around £200 to upgrade. Would I be best buying a soundcard and sub to add to my current setup or starting from scratch with one of your suggestions or something else? I'm tempted by a more compact setup that can fit on my desk (rather than on speaker stands), hence my suggestions in my first post.

    And there was me happy with my £25 Logitech X-230s. Can never really see myself spending that much for 2.1 speakers for my pc. Would always break and get a 24" screen or a 4890 instead.

    But I guess that's just me

    Still using my Altec Lansing 621's. Not had them upto full volume in 6 years, not sure there is a full volume.
