First pictures of Core i5??
With a Super Pi score of course:

In Super Pi 1M the 2.4ghz Core i5 dual core with 4mb cache takes around 18 seconds whereas a 2.4ghz E6600 dual core with 4mb cache would take around 20 to 21 seconds. It would be interesting to see some other tests though.

More multitasking tests for sure! As Super PI is single threaded.
I thought they were not going to get hyperthreading?

If this is enabled it is only more good news for the consumer!! :) It will be interesting to see how AMD responds to this!!
Re: First pictures of Core i5??
Am I the only one that thinks 20% increase with the same clock speed over Conroe is a bit stingy? That's almost what the Wolfdales achieved...
Re: First pictures of Core i5??
Isn't that more like 10%
Re: First pictures of Core i5??
Lol, I was being more optimistic, because 10% is abysmal. 21/18 = 17%, close enough :P
Re: First pictures of Core i5??
Looks like the QPI Multiplier will be lower than the Core i7 too:
