Xigmatek fan?
Looking to get some new 120mm fans but they need to be:
Silent <22dB
High air flow >50CFM
Not Ugly
Thought it would be impossible to find something that fitted the spec but:
http://www.xigmatek.com/product/acce...lf-f1253.php#2
‧ Speed 1500 R.P.M.
‧ Bearing Type Long-life bearing
‧ Air Pressure 61 CFM
‧ Life Expectance 50,000 hrs
‧ Noise Level <20 dBA
Too good to be true? Most fans that are around 20dB only have around 40CFM and their RPM is lower, and vice versa.
Does anyone have this fan and to give your experiences?

Re: Xigmatek fan?
Iv not tried these yet but im extremely sceptical about their dBA and CFM. Fan companies dont tend to measure the dBA in the same way as each other so a sharkoon 20dBA would be the same as a Zalman 25dBA (just as an example and not actually true). I guess this is due to the environment they are measured in and the distance between the measuring device and the fan.
If you do decide to buy them i would be interested to know how they fare as id quite like to try some as case fans myself.

The user reviews seem kinda split in half as to whether this fan is quiet or not. lol, but they all agree that its really bright though.
I might get 2 at the end of the week and test them out. :)

Re: Xigmatek fan?
1500rpm 120mm fan will be at least 24dB. You will just about manage 50CFM at 20dB if you cut the speed to 1200rpm, or use a good native 1200rpm fan like a Scythe SFF12E. Realistically your expectations are more the domain of 140mm fans.
