    Question Zip 250mb Disks

    Ok, so I have had my zip drive for a while now, and recently some of my disk have become corrupted, so everytime I try to go and open the disk, it just stalls. Ive tried formatting it from command prompt but all I get is I was "Error in IOCTL call."

    Im wondering is there any way of formatting the disk so I would be able to use it again?

    Thanks

    Do you get any nasty clicking?

    I don't know if click of death affected the 250MB models or not but it was rife in the 100MB ones.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    I know in the past drivers have been problems - so make sure you have up to date ones, then try the zip tools to format it.

    I tried the latest zip tools no luck there. Couldnt find any drivers though, didnt seem that Iomega needed to supply any for win xp, so i couldnt try out any other drivers. Any other ideas anyone might have?

    the click was just for the 100mb's.

    Try a large magnet and have another go, or scandisk / spinrite
