SATA to IDE Adapter
I've got an older PC with only IDE connectors. I want to add some more storage space (it acts as a file-server) but IDE disks seem to stop at 500GB and I really want a 1.0TB or 1.5TB drive.
I've seen adapters to plug IDE drives into an SATA-equipped motherboard but I need the opposite and most descriptions are kind of vague.
I could get a PCI SATA controller card, but that would be a last-resort because I'm already hammering the PCI bus and SATA/IDE controller cards I've seen (Promise, JMicron etc) aren't 'friendly' enough to not impact the other PCI cards.

Re: SATA to IDE Adapter
I remember seeing one that plugged into the motherboards IDE and had two sata connectors on it, Can't remember who was selling it now.
There is loads of them on Ebay that convert an IDE to single SATA connection.

Thanks, I didn't think about eBay. It looks like there's plenty on there.

Re: SATA to IDE Adapter
There is one on ebay that plugs onto the SATA drive and uses an IDE cable between it and the Mobo so you should be able to connect 2 to one IDE port.
