DVD media - soft and easily scratched?

I'm ultra careful when handling my disks but have noticed that they seem to scratch very easily! This is from placing them on paper (when labelling/writing on) or from gently sliding in and out of plastic wallets!

Is this a general problem or are certain disks more durable?

most scratch way to easily ,some may be more durable they tend to be the more expensive ones such as the verbs (verbatim)

generally to keep them tip top keep them in a jewel case

also i dont think that they scratch anymore than cd's i just think its more easily noticed

    Thanks "da ging"

Why do you think the scratches are more easily noticed on recordable DVDs?

Also, would you recommend the best price/supplier for the Verbatims you mention?

    Many thanks!

http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/ usually has some ,but tbh keeping your disks in jewel/dvd cases is the best option
