7200.11 Internal Kit - Five Year Warranty?

    Hi, long time no posts

I'm wondering whether the Seagate Internal Kit such as this one from ebuyer have a Five Year Warranty :S, compared to this one which states it has a 3 year warranty.

Before everyone starts ranting about how I should get WD's or Samsung.. I am getting Seagate, I just would prefer a 5 year warranty even if it costs a little extra.

On the seagate site it states OEM drives are 3 year warranty, retail kits 5 year warranty.. but is an 'Internal Kit' a retail kit?

I also found the same drive on memory-express.. but at a price. It does however state a 5 year warranty.

Hope someone can help me find the answer to this.. as I'm very very low on storage

Yes it's retail and hence 5 yrs. It's internal, as opposed to external hard drive.

    OEM is only 3 yrs.

Yeah, I currently have two 7200.11's from before they changed the OEM's to 3yr from 5. Shame scan don't do retail aswell.. or atleast I can't see they do.

Will order this as soon as I get the cash. Thanks for your help
