Is there a difference between the Ati hd4770 card models?

I was quite pleased to see that the 4770 is being produced by different err companies but looking at the pics on scans website, they all look identical except the brading on the fans. Does anyone know why there's a difference in the prices, do we get anything more for the extra few pounds?

The specs look EXACTLY the same to me but i'm probably missing something right? (!)

Typically the warranty varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. E.g. some have 24 months warranty while some have 36 months. People seem to have nightmares with XFX RMAs so you might want to avoid them in case the card does break.

At launch they are all made by ATi i think. Thats why they all have the same specs and cooler.

The main difference at this moment in time is the warranty, some are 2 years, some are 3. And yeah, avoid XFX at all costs.

As time passes each company will start making their own custom designs with different clocks and coolers, etc.

Excellent feedback! Thanks guys, I couldn't spot the differences my self. I'm curious to see what the other manufacturers come up with.

Non-reference 4770s are apparently due within a week or two.

Currently the specs of only one card is known, and it's just got an overclock that's been achieved by pretty much everybody in reviews so far.
