A few questions about the 7750 kuma.

    hi guys,

Sorry if this is a silly question but basically i am planning to get a 7750be to go with a asus m3a76 board however upon checking the cpu support list it says that it supports 2 different version of the 7750, one of which will need a newer version of the bios (so presumably i need to flash it but without a working cpu to begin with i cant do that). So i was just wondering what is the difference between (Athlon X2 7750+ ,2.7GHz,2MB,rev.B3,AD7750WCJ2BGH,95W,SocketAM2+ and Athlon X2 7750+ ,2.7GHz,2MB,rev.B3,AD775ZWCJ2BGH,95W,SocketAM2+ )? Is it just that one of them is the Black Edition? if so which is?

it is important that i dont get the wrong one since i won't be able to flash the bios if i do get it wrong.

    Thanks in advance,

    RK

Re: A few questions about the 7750 kuma.

AD775ZWCJ2BGH is the code for the OEM version of the processor(without a heatsink) which is usually sold to computer manufacturers whereas AD775ZWCJ2BGH is the code for the boxed retail processor which has a cooler:

All Athlon X2 7750+ proccessors are Black Edition from what I have read.

    thanks for the speedy reply.

you've mentioned only about the AD775ZWCJ2BGH, what about the AD7750WCJ2BGH? Because according to the cpu support list (sorry cannot link right now since i dont have more than 5 posts) the latter requires bios v0304 where as the former requires v0302.

The AD7750WCJ2BGH is also an OEM processor:

Re: A few questions about the 7750 kuma.

I see. Why would you need to update the bios for an oem ver of the same cpu... confusing. But I guess i'll be fine if i stick with the retail version.

    Thanks!
