    Asus A7V600-X - Any Good?

Looking for a new motherboard for a mid range Athlon based system.

I like the spec of this board and its under £50 but can't find any reviews of it. Anyone tried one, I'm usually and MSI man for mainboards but this has tempted me...

    Full spec here

It looks alright but for about the same price you could have an NForce2 chipset board which will almost certainly be faster at stock and will overclock better than any KT600 board.

I had a quick look, and although this one is about £9 more inc VAT, it's a much better board: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=58884. More features, and a great overclocker.

If you do decide to get the A7V600-X, Ebuyer are a fiver cheaper than your link.

Found another place that you might want to consider buying a DFI Infinity Nforce2 Ultra board from: http://www.cpucitystore.co.uk/catalo...roducts_id=352.

Also found this, but not sure whether its any good or not (anyone have one?): http://www.cpucitystore.co.uk/catalo...products_id=49.

the a7n8x-x is a very good board for the money, decent enough overclocker(got it up to 214mhz fsb stable) but just lacks a few features,no sata, soundstorm or DC mem...but for a fiver more i'd probably go for the nf7 non-s for dual channel and slightly better overclocking
