Thread: Gave my network switch a nice clean, then died

    Gave my network switch a nice clean, then died

    Quite annoyed, just cleaned up my workspace, re-arranging my equipments and give everything a wipe. Everything worked fine, except my switch, which won't come on.

    Should I try to open the switch and see whats wrong? Its a Dell 16 port GbE switch :S

    Any suggestions welcomed.

    Tried the basics like making sure it's plugged in or a cable hasn't come lose

    Plugged into a power meter, saw the power usage spike to 10W then came back down to 0W :S

    Seems like the internal PSU is dead
    Going to buy a new one.
