    Re: Wireless Keyboard + Mouse

I have the Logitech LX710 and the wireless laser mouse(LX7) which came as part of it was fine for gaming IMHO as was the Logitech MX1000. I damaged the charging station for the MX1000 and it meant very spotty recharging as a result! I bought the wired G5 laser mouse because it was very cheap,I did not have to replace the battery every few months and because it had a good profile and layout.
I would probably stick to a wired keyboard and mouse for gaming as you can more for your money.

Saying that tho, Logitech support is pro. My rechargeable iPod speakers battery had become a miserable 30 minutes of charge, so I gave them a call and they replaced it for free. Just needed a proof of purchase.

I also read some where that when someone G7 died, he phoned Logitech up and they offered him a G9 replacement for free. He only needed the serial number and send some pictures of his mouse after hammertime.

So, I wonder what Logitech will be offering me next time I call
Should try the microsoft hardware support Everytime I have had a keyboard or mouse die on me, within 20 minutes of talking to them on the phone a free replacement has always been with me in a day or two no questions asked

Oooh, nice set up. And I sympathise with not wanting to run cables everywhere - I bought an IR remote / mouse thing for my HTPC which works fine for playing DVDs. I tried gaming with it once though - absolutely hilarious

Still need to work out what I'm going to do now we've moved, I've sold my old HTPC and the gaming beast is going into the living room to run as HTPC as well (for now, at least). As much as I hate it, I might have to go wireless myself

Now that would be a dream but as I generally use very little of their software it doesn't really affect me

    Re: Wireless Keyboard + Mouse

Hope you are not very sensitive to latency/lag or even the good wireless ones will piss you off. The only mouse i trust to be as good as the wired gaming mice is that new Razer one, otherwise (me being sensitive to this sorta stuff) i'd notice the downgrade immediately. Use a copperhead here.
