I have £60 to spend on a PSU. I want something silent, little noise as possible.
So if someone could recommend something, or has one to sell, let me know.
It's to power my Overclocked system (1700+ OC'd to 3200+), so has to have plenty of power.
Was looking at the "Antec SmartBlue 350w ATX PSU with Blue LED's" - opinion?
You'd be hard pressed to fine a 'silent' PSU... My CWT from Scan can't be heard over my pretty quiet HSF though (whole system can't be heard over the TV on low so it can't be too noisy). Plus you'll have a couple of quid spare change left! :D
My Antec truepower 430 is pretty quiet although not silent.
Tagan 480W psu. 21db's :) its pretty damn quiet, good rails also
Antec trupower 480W in my system, and the loudest thing is the Zalman heatsink on my P4.
Since CWT and Antec seem to be the same PSUs, I'd heartly recommend either
The nexus at the bottom of this page is pretty good. My housemates got one and its as near silent as Ive heard.

I dont think i can afford the Truepower 480W (...Checks) Nope...
Looking to spend £60 max inc remember. And all i need is a sturdy PSU that is as quiet as possible. :)

Forget CWT, Enermax etc if you really do want silent. I've owned both and they're quiet but not silent. The Nexus is the way to go.
think i have to repeat myself again - 480 Tagan psu, it can be had for under £60.
I bought it on scan today only for £55 including delivery... its gone up a bit now
I looking into the Nexus and Tagen but they just didn't appeal the most in the end.
Going for a Thermaltake truepower 430W (I think thats it) - 19dba on low fan speed. Silent goodness :)
