HVR-Z1+FS4 or NEW HVR-Z7+Card Slot?

So, I have been talking to a fellowvideographer and he is onto the Sony HVR-Z7. I'm using the Z1 with the Firestore FS4 with an upgraded 250GB HDD. The only problem for me is that the FS4 and the Bebob cage under the camera is chunky and although the FS4 is not meant to drop frames between files (fat32) it does the odd time which is irritating and verging on useless.

My friend swears by the Z7 for it's better low light capability and the card slot. Just wondering if anyone out there has used both or even he Z7 and could tell me a bit more? Don't know whether or not to sell the kit and go for the Z7?!
