The c64 is ok for lightuse either for bnw printing of photoprinting.

btw the c64 is basicly the c84 cut down

epson printers can be good it's just the luck of the draw with some of the models.

I would personally not go for Epson. The carts are fairly expensive (originals that is) and the printers I find are not exactly the best made. If you are looking for a decent good quality, and v. economic I would recommend a canon. You can pick up a cheap one for around £50 or so, and carts are v. cheap as well.

I have the C64. Its excellent and does the job. If your into printing pictures you might wanna spend more on a photo printer but if it does the job for me.

You dont have to get the offical cartridges either. I dont!!!

NO! Horrible overpriced underspecced pieces of junk. It will be cheaper when the ink runs out after "priming" the heads for a couple of centuries to buy a whole new printer than to get the inl replaced. and if you do use third party cartridges, they block the heads up after a time and you'll never be able to use the printer again.. cos Epson are clever like that and have copyrighted their inkl, so while other ink may look exactly the same, and fit the printer - its different chemically, and that makes ALL the difference.

Dunno how Epson execs sleep at night tbh.. cowboys...

That all depends on what you are looking to print really. If you into pictures and stuff I would recommend something like i560 you could pick one up from about £130-£150 ink carts are seperate, meaning the magenta, cyan, yellow, and black carts are all individual so you only have to change the one cart and not spend like £20-£30 on a brand new colour cart.

    Thats just my £0.02 though
