Should i reseat my heatsink?
I was just checking my cpu temperature and it is idling about 44C(core 0, 38core1) however under stress(intel burn) it maxes at 53C(highest of the 2 cores). So should i reseat the heatsink or is it ok as it is?. Idle temps seem high to be but load is ok i think.
Thanks.

What has it been usually?
Seems okay especially when you consider the sunny weather of late.
I changed my paste from MX-1 to OCZ Freeze last week and seems to be running well. Ran IBT, OCCT, LinX and cpu load topped 70 degrees, this is with 27/28 degrees ambient.
Re: Should i reseat my heatsink?
It is working, it isn't high under stress, the ambient temperature has been high...

Re: Should i reseat my heatsink?
Its an xigmatek s963. Im guessing the e8400 has a higher heat output than an e5200? My mate is using an e5200 and with an arctic 7 cooler and gets 35idle and 42c load :P.
Re: Should i reseat my heatsink?
If you have the time reseat it, just for fun
Re: Should i reseat my heatsink?
Hello Hicks, I have the E8400 and idle at 38/39 (never fully trust E8400 temps though!)..and under load with the Intel Burn Test it's exactly the same as you at 53 degrees...ambient temps always have an effect too.
Nothing to worry about with those temps...I have the arctic freezer 7 pro HS btw..
if you do reseat the heatsink let us know if it has effect.
cheers, Roo
