    4gb-->8gb, benefitial?

    Well was wondering if its worth upgrading my ram to 8gb ddr2, any performance gains?.

    Only if you make a habit of allocating 5-8GB of memory frequently.

    True, just wanted to see as ive got some money and have no idea what to spend it on .

    I'm looking at moving from 4gb 800mhz to 8gb 1066mhz. The extrea 266mhz might not be very beneficial, but I'm sure the extra 4gb ram will come in handy, especially as in Seven x64 I'm currently running a few light apps with 3.2gb of it in use constantly.

    A bit of extra head room is nice, especially when I start multitasking with more bulky apps.
