    mini 9 replacement

hi, just had my house broken into and got my bike my phone and my laptop nicked.

anyhoo, need to start looking for a replacement for my dell mini 9. the things i liked about it were no moving parts, linux etc. it was the 1gb ram 8gb SSD version. now looking at dells website they only do the mini 10 which inexplicably has a lower resolution screen which i am not willing to put up with 1024x576 comapred to 1024x600! crazy. so are there any netbooks out there available new that would be ok? i.e. no moving parts and 1024x600 res?

    cheers

As far as I know they all have fans that only spin up when required and you can usually get software to override that as well.

Ebuyer currently have the 8GB SSD EEE 900 for £209... probably the nearest you'll get to a direct replacement...

    Re: mini 9 replacement

i actually got mine from tesco in the first place for £150 so i figured i'd have a wee look and they still have a few left but for 230 quid! hopefully the insurance will pay up soon so i can get one before they're gone otherwise it'll probably be an eeepc for me

    thanks
