Sound Card

Hello all,
whilst rummaging through the back of my father's cupboard, I came across this:

I am, however, a complete fool when it comes to sound and sound cards and was wondering if anyone knew whether it would be better than on board sound.

You probably wont notace a differance anyway, unless your mobo is really old
