Mouse orientation.. help!

morning all,

just got the new microsoft intellimouse through the post this morning, so i was gonna have a bash at some CS to test it out but immediately i noticed that the orientation is wrong.. ie how i'm holding the mouse means that when i want to go up like | it actually goes like \ which isnt at all useful (dont tell me to hold the mouse different :P)

i've got the microsoft intellimouse software, but i cant see an option to setup the orientationg (i mean 7 years ago when i was using windows 3.1 there was a setting for it, we cant have gone that far backwards!!) ARG!

help me please :)

after about an hour of cs i've kinda got used to it.. either that or i'm holding the mouse the way microsoft want me to :)

next question, is there a way to map the side scroll to something useful do you know? i mean i'm running a 1600x1200 resolution, i've not yet encountered anything i need to scroll sideways for hehe, maybe there is some special software cos you cant do anything with it with the intellimouse thing *sigh*
