i7 power requirements

im looking to upgrade my current PC for an i7 build.

i currently run the following

E6600 @ 3.2ghz
4gb (4x1gb) ddr2 geil low latency
ATI 4870 512mb
LG bluray / hd drive
dvdrw
soundblaster
2x120mm fans
3x sata hard drives
floppy drive

all running on a 480w Tagen silent

will this be enough to power an i7 920 / 3gb build

480W is plenty. And ++ on the 6GB recommendation... It makes more sense.

i know what you mean about 6gb but its a bit more on the budget which i didnt really wanna stretch, i can always get some later on :-)

1600MHz 3GB is around £50, and 6GB is around £80, it makes sense to get the 6GB as it is better GB/£ and going from 4GB to 3GB is kinda a downgrade
