Windows 7 rc?

Use it till next year then grab an oem version, from some of the reviews its better than vista and free for a year (ish)?

There's lots of configurations which will do the job... heck, even an dual-core atom/ion build will technically get the job done. What kind of headroom do you need?

Re: burrellhead build

Well with that budget i'd concentrate on low noise, small and good performance (not amazing).

Enermax Modu82+ 425w ~£55
Asus 760G Asus M3A76-C ~£50
4GB PC6400 ~£40
AMD X3 720 BE ~£105
Antec P180 mini ~£55
Western Digital 640GB AAKS ~£50
LG Blu Ray/ HD DVD ~£70
ATi 4770 or Nvidia 250 <£100
Nice cooler like Scythe Ninja II ~£30

Should come in less than £550

I run something fairly similar and it's lovely and quiet (next to silent).
