    Angry Disc burning problems

Hi everyone, I've been having disc burning problems with two different drives with different discs from CDs to DVDs.

Ive got a Optiarc AD-7200S, after having problems with it earlier in the year I did a firmware update which fixed it but recently it would not burn DVDs or CDs. It would start the burning process and then just stop. I tried different software from windows to media player to nero all with the same problem.

So I went out and got a Pioneer DVR-216D (firmware up-to-date) and now I have exactly the same problem. Both drives can read just fine but will not complete a burn, they both stop before the timer even hits 1 minute.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

    Re: Disc burning problems

Well I've tried three each one burning a different type of media. Windows media player for audio, nero 8 for pictures and just the standard windows vista drag and drop burn for video files.

    Re: Disc burning problems

Sounds like a configuration problem, have you looked at the drive in hardware manager?

    Re: Disc burning problems

I assume you mean device manager where I can right click on my drive to get its properties? But it seems all I can do here is change the dvd region and just get details on my drive.
