Help with an unexpected change please?

Well chaps thanks to my dearest most wonderful girlfriend filling my car with petrol any plans of my dream I7 build are out and gone, !!

I'm definitely still looking at the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, as this for me appears great value whilst in my now revised budget, it also suits my gaming photo shop and video editing needs rather well.

What I'm unsure of is the best sub £100 AM2+ motherboard to go for, at present I'm looking at this one the Asus M4A78-E, AMD 790GX, S AM2+....any thoughts? Is it ok? If not what would you guys advise?

The money is in the bank and I'm hoping to order this weekend so honestly chaps any help would be more than welcome!

Oh and if anyone was wondering why the filling of my tank by my most beloved girlfriend caused this calamity......I drive a diesel!....

Thanks for that Cat I've been trying to google reviews on this board but they seem pretty scarce at the moment? I'm definitely ordering this weekend primarily because of Scans offers and before H fills my screen wash with napalm!!

why not get one of the Q9550 bundles not quite i7 but nearly there and they've just come down in price too

Thanks Boon, I was thinking of going the Intel route, but from the reviews I've read (square eyes here, so if I've misinterpreted something please tell me?) In some applications the 955 be actually nips at the heals of the I7 920 and can beat out the Q9650, also the stock cooler seems to be much better than the Intel...Add that to the fact its only a few quid dearer than the Q9550/Asus p5qe package and it seems pretty decent value too?

Lol as I said I've read so many reviews it's more than possible I've misread some of the graphs, I'm quite open to being convinced!
