5.1 gaming headset ideas? (<£50budget)

hello there ! i am currently in need of a surround sound headset as my old one has broken
however, other than getting a new one im looking to get a better one with a microphone and true surround sound rather than virtual surround sound. if anyones knows of any good headsets <£50 i would love it if you could notify me of them,

i have the one with the amp unit, i just upgraded to the sennheiser 350 gaming heaset as the wife got fed up with open back headphones keeping her awake

nothing wrong with them, they have served me well for 2 years and they are bloody loud even at half volume thanks to the amp unit.

let me know if you fancy buying them http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Speed...nd-Multimedia)

They had a review of these in Total PC hardware about a month ago and they reccommened the http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Medusa-NX-51-Gaming-Headset

Only problem is that they are £57.49 which is over your budget.

Would suggest you acquire a pair of Plantronics within your budget.......I have had several pairs over the last 8 years and, subject to my abuse of them, have had nothing but a fantastic experience. When I am not being heavy handed with them, they last a good three to four years, and the sound is always magnificent, regardless of the soundcard you are using.

I don't have them but heard the same things, they're about the only ones in budget though.

The NX version are more expensive - the normal ones are about £36.

I'd think carefully before getting one of these, since surround sound headsets tend to give poorer quality.

This. I've bought two sets over the years, never heard any better from a 5.1 headset. The current ones are very good.
