    Exclamation abit fatal1ty hdmi help

i just ordered an abit fatal1ty f190hd, it has built in graphics and a built in hdmi port. i have also bought an Nvidia 9800gtx graphics card for it. i was wondering, if i connect the hdmi cable from the abit to my TV, will the graphics run off the Nvidia 9800gtx or the built in graphics? or will i need to buy a DVI to hdmi adaptor?

AFANK that you can run a HDMI cable from the 9800GTX with a DVI to HDMI converter into the sound card, then the sound card adds audio, and leaves graphics alone, and you have a cable from the sound card to the computer

    Re: abit fatal1ty hdmi help

I thought that it was some new kind of this sound card you was on about: http://uk.europe.creative.com/produc...gn=FeaturePage, which outputted audio over HDMI, like the new ASUS cards. Should have read it better.

Anyway for your question, you will have a DVI -> HDMI from your 9800, with HDMI going into TV. The graphics will then be running from the built in graphics. If you want sound, then you will need to get an internal S/PDIF cable, and connect this to the 9800 (it may have came with one), and then the TV will play audio. Otherwise you need to plug speackers into the 3.5mm jacks/S/PDIF output on the mobo
