If you get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your gun and smash their nose in.
yes
This thread went no where quickly.
I'll let you know, cm_uk - currently waiting for delivery of some AS5 from the US (Meaning, it'll be another 3 or so weeks), hopefully I'll see a nice decrease from my current 48 C.

what i meant was.... that say ur temp is 44 idle and 48 full load.and u put some as5 on.how much will it bring ur temp down by?how many degress c????
full load, average over 4 machines, 1 or 2 degrees celsius, as opposed to using a tube of RS standard heat sink compound
which is pretty good, in my opinion
RS standard heat sink compound whats that like?how much is it?were can u get it from?
u can get it from RS. I dont see the big deal about these new thermal compounds, unless there is a real rotton one, they are pretty much all the same.

Korky, I agree with you, all of the 'quality' thermal compounds supposedly designed for CPU cores - they're all much a muchness, imo.
The RS stuff is available from RS (Radio Spares) they're based in Corby, on-line and have trade outlets all over the UK. I usually use it for mounting big transistors in audio amps, but it works quite well on CPU cores as well, and it's cheap.
got a url for this RS stuff
thank man
this the stuff m8 and is it fine + good for cpus
