So we're talking about something that could, in theory be used as a sort of high speed SSD which also bypasses the need for system memory? That sounds quite useful.
Well it's ultimately a matter of cost effectiveness. If they can prove the theory that they can produce it in quantity at a price that makes it viable, and there is a marketplace for it, then it might just happen.
