Interesting article about DDR3 scaling with the Core i7

It seems that sticking with 1066mhz DDR3 makes the most sense:

All good, but too bad the price of 6GB 1066/1333 in the UK is almost the same as 1600. :o

Which is why I bought 1600's lol!!

I have read said article a while back but if prices between 1066/1600 are similair you could get the higher rated RAM and drop to 1066 but with improved latency timings to get the best performance?

Hmmm i have read that before?

I made the assumption that the difference wouldnt be that great so i opted for lower speed ram to 1600 DDR3

It confirms i am not a fool :P
