Hi all
Hi all
1st post on the forum so be gentle :)
I am looking for some help clocking my system, never really felt the need to before but with arma2 out now and ofp2 on the way my system is struggling a bit with standard settings. System specs are listed below.
Vista Home Premium 64 - Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 - Noctua NH-U12F Heatsink - BFG GeForce 8800 Ultra OC 768MB - OCZ 8GB - Abit IN9 32X-MAX WiFi nForce 680 - 700W FSP GROUP PSU
I really haven't a clue what I should be doing in the bios and I am hoping some kind soul will guide me through this :)
I have taken pics of bios screens that I have but due to this being my 1st post I cant post the URL's :(
Any and all help appreciated.

Re: Hi all
Hi and welcome to Hexus!
There are some guides to overclocking systems here:
http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...beginners.html
and there are several people on Hexus that overclock, and I'm sure they will give you some help.

Re: Hi all
Thanks for the reply peter. Any chance if I mailed you the links to these images u could put the links on for me?
I have tried a few different setting but they dont seem to want to work. Last board I had was a dfi board that clocked without any problems. Im hoping its something simple im doing wrong.

Re: Hi all
Ah yes, you need 5 posts before you can put up links - but if you post them with a gap (like www noweb xxx) people will get the idea!

Re: Hi all
Your DDR voltages look a tad low, check the manufacturer's recommended setting, probably 2.2v? but it may be correct, best to check, all ram is not created equal. Clunk's guide is pretty comprehensive tho. :)
