Question Which Lightscribe DVD and CD Burner?

    Quick question:

    Samsung SH-S203P/RSMN 20xDVD±R, 8x DVD±DL, DVD+RW x8/-RWx6, x14 DVD-RAM, SATA L/Scribe 3 Bez, Retail (http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=767379)

    or LG GH22LS30 AUAU 22x DVD±R, 12x DVD±DL, DVD+RW x8/-RW x6, DVD-RAM x12, SATA Black OEM (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/LG-GH...TA-Black-OEM)?

Both from Scan and I just need a quick decision! Can't make up my mind!

    Cheers,

Last time I checked, the Samsung is more popular than the LG at CDRLabs. They are one of the 'DVD-RW' enthusiast site along with CDFReaks. If you care much, have a look around, though chances are, they are both ok (the non-Lightscribe version of both on different machines are they are both fine).

Well, I can't find reviews on the Samsung, but people have had trouble with the LG (only a minority though).

Also, the Samsung connects with 1.5gb/sec sata and the lg with 3gb/sec. What does this do?

    Cheers,

That is the maximum transfer speed of the SATA interfaces on the drives, In reality it does not matter as neither will get anywhere near to transferring at 1.5Gb/s more like 35Mb/s.
