    Micro Hd - Any good??

    I need a portable backup for image files - need reliabilty and reasonable speed - this any good?

    Had a Maxtor 'basic' before that failed on me after 6 months
    But this one looks quite nice......................

    I despise maxtor personally but for the same money you can get a 250GB western digitial passport which are fantastic, I've got about 4 kicking around the place now

    I totally agree with both statements, iv had nothing but trouble with Maxtors in the past, on the flip side its Western Digital couldn't be better!

    Not sure if Maxtor deserve a bad reputation for their 2.5" drives, but the linked product is quite expensive. I am happy with my WD Passport, and for £6 more, you can get a 400GB model (or save £10 and get a 250GB): http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/d...?s=passport&d=
