    Question £200 - £300 Laptop

Alright guys. Its my mums birthday on sunday and my dad is looking at getting her a laptop. He has no idea where to start so i've been given the task of finding one.

It doesnt need to be an amazing spec (which it wont for the price range) its only something she'll be using for storing photos, browsing the interwebz and using for microsoft word etc. Tbh she isnt a whiz on computers either.

So im just looking for a nudge towards the right direction. Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Stringer

Is operating system a concern? (i.e. does it HAVE to be Microsoft Office or will OOo work? Does she have any applications she will want to use on a regulalr basis that are Windows only?)
