    Good case with door?

    Hi all

I posted about a build Im doing, and I was going to choose
    the antec 300 case.

however, i think it would look odd with a dvd drive installed.

my current case has a door and i like that, since it looks so much neater

can anyone suggest any good cases with doors? my curretn one is a cooler master,
but they dont seem to make it anymore

    What about drive stealthing?

You could get the 300 and just use a stealth plate

    Re: Good case with door?

I've never found a dvd to be that out of place, main things you need to watch out for is, brushed aluminium case fronts (which the antec 300 is not) and colour/shade differences, you can end up with a dvd that's not the same shade of black as you case or the plastic is a different texture

Pioneer dvd's are very nice for there vey plain simple look, not the quietest of things but it does nearly exactly match the colour and texture of my antec p180.

or a stealth plate as TakTak said

the other question is if you current case is ok why change it

Doesn't the Antec 300 have spring loaded faceplates so the honeycomb front is pushed down by the CD tray when it opens...

face plates are not spring loaded, they just pop out (completely) so you can stick a drive in

    Re: Good case with door?

Rather major difference between the mid tower cheap Antec 300 and the large and expensive coolemaster cosmos 1000

If you're planning to use a mATX motherboard then have a look at the Antec miniP180 ebuyer have it on sale for £55
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140996

EDIT: only low cost mid towers with doors that I know of are the Sunbeam Silent Storm
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150299
    and the Thermaltake Soprano
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/101931
However both are older design and the air flow is not as good, although still half decent.

the next step up is the antec p182, Thermaltake Element S but you're looking at £90ish there
