Hi, my replacement CPU has arrived today so assembled the spare rig ready to go... and now getting continual short beeps which indicate power problems according to Gigabyte's site...
Rig is as follows:-
Core2Duo E6300
2GB DDR2 Ram (850MHz)
Nvidia 7200GT 128MB graphics (my gaming rig has a nice powerful 4870 but as this is purely a spare rig/file server build a 7200 is fine).
500GB SATA Hitachi 7200rpm HDD
LG (IDE) Supermulti DVD RW
570w PSU
I've checked:-
IDE connector, SATA connectors, motherboard atx power connector, fan power connector, ATX 12v CPU connector.
The only thing I think I mave wrong is the chasis plugs as the fly leads from the case lack any polarity markings ... but same result with all chasis leads bar power switch unplugged and same result with the power switch connected in either orientation.
