Barton 2600 settings

got a barton 2600 chip just installed in my MSI KT4 ultra mobo. atm its set to 166/33 x12.5 and is reported as a 2600 @ 2.09Ghz Is this the correct setting? was my understanding that the baron clock is lower than the T-bred's and im sure this is what the T-bred B runs at.

a barton should run at 11.5 * 166 i think, 1909mhz

Fire up CPUz and see what its reported as being

Got one of these myself, it should be 11.5 x 166, lower than a T-Bred that was stated above.

Is your BIOS an old version, it might have released before the XP2600+ Bartons were introduced.

will try updating the BIOS, can do it in windows Ithink, got no floppy in here see.

wow, cheers but i already have live update installed. i will do it after work tomorrow. after looking into it i seems i will need a bios update.
