im planning on selling my 2500 (specs in title) when and if i can get my XP-M to work.
its unlocked as its week 27, but i havent clocked it yet, because current motherboard wont let me clock it
how much would i be looking at getting from the forums if i were to sell it?

Granted, its unlocked, but i dont think it will retain its value to full retail price due to the current crop of XP2500's overclocking to 3200Xp speeds with ease.
You could try though
the current crop are multi locked however, this being unlocked gives it a certain degree of rarity, its not a dlt3c but its still saught after.

True, but ive not seen many reports of a locked XP2500 not hit 3200speeds for a while now.
It is simply the luck of the draw though !
